Pet insurance will never cover pre-existing conditions. Let’s say that your pet has diabetes. You can still get pet insurance and it will cover other conditions, but since diabetes is a pre-existing condition in your case, your pet will not be covered for any expenses incurred because of the diabetes.
On the other hand,you could probably purchase insurance to cover any additional future illnesses, accidents, or injuries.
